The feeling you get when the warmth of the water runs down your back. How nice it feels to have the spray of hot water thoroughly soaking your hair and scalp. It's surprising how good it feels to close your eyes and just drown. Let the water hit your head at full pressure. Let it become your skin. Feel it flow over your eyelids, cheeks, nose, lips. Let it run over your ears. And hear it. The beautiful sound, like the ocean. It's comforting. It's familiar. I'm in a place I don't want to leave. But I have to take a breath. I know I have to.
